Mary and Dick Allen Diabetes Center

Diabetes is an overwhelming diagnosis, profoundly impacting day-to-day life. Patients with diabetes often face significant barriers to receiving the care they need—from difficulty navigating the health care system to inefficient communication among specialists to a lack of culturally relevant educational and supportive resources. Hoag offers more.

Thanks to philanthropy, the Mary & Dick Allen Diabetes Center provides the highest level of clinical, educational and psychosocial support for adults and children living with diabetes. Its integrated and multidisciplinary programs are culturally inclusive and age-specific, ensuring each patient receives the personalized care they deserve. The Center prioritizes community outreach and preventive care as well as clinical research and innovations that will improve the lives of those living with diabetes both now and in the future.

Generous donors enable the Mary & Dick Allen Diabetes Center to provide the highest quality diabetes care and a full array of educational and support services, regardless of a patient’s ability to pay. With continued support, the Center is growing and evolving to meet the needs of the diverse communities we serve.
